Rules and EligibilityWho Can Enter?The competition is open to all specialized business-to-business media written and produced in Canada in either English and/or French, regardless of association membership. Editorial staff, contributors, freelancers, designers and people engaged in co-operative efforts with the publication may enter. They do not need to be full-time employees of the publication/or web site. What Can I Enter?Only material from publications dated from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 may be entered. Web site content will be evaluated live and may be archived with password access. Writing entries may be a single article or series, provided a common theme and purpose is maintained. In the case of a series, the majority of articles must be published within the calendar year, but the complete series should be submitted for judging. Material published previously in any other publication or edition is ineligible. A supplement is considered part of the parent publication even if the supplement is a stand-alone publication. Custom publishing is eligible. Advertorials are ineligible. General Rules
Entry FormatWriting categories: Each single entry must have one (1) set of original tear sheets with six (6) sets of staple photocopies. All photocopies should be 8.5x11 where possible. A pdf version is also required. Please attach an Entry Form to the original tear sheets only. Double check your photocopies to ensure all pages are attached. Visual categories: Submit two (2) original tear sheets (do not mount) with a completed Entry Form taped to the back of both entries. Spreads must be taped together. If submitted a spread or a section, please tape together with numbering on the back to indicate the correct order. Do not staple. A pdf version is also required. Please see the list of Categories for further information. New Entry FeesEach individual entry in each category requires an entry fee of $100 (early-bird by January 25) or $125 (regular by February 8). Entry fees can now be paid online with a credit card (VISA, Mastercard and American Express via PayPal) at www.krwawards.ca. Alternately, a company cheque payable to Canadian Business Press may accompany your entry. If a company cheque is submitted separately from the entries a copy of the Master Form must be included with the cheque. Cheques-to-follow must be received by February 15, 2010. DeadlineThe submission deadline is February 8, 2010 at 5pm Eastern Time and all submissions must be received in their entirety to be eligible. Applications received (including those postdated February 8) after 5pm on February 8 will not be accepted.
